Rego Places<\/h1>\n

Rego is about places ? places you’ve been, places you are, and places you want to go. In this article, we’ll look at how to add new places to Rego, and view the ones you have.<\/p>\n

Adding places to Rego<\/h2>\n

To add?a new place in Rego start by tapping the plus icon on the main screen [view]<\/a>. The following screen is segmented into ?Place? and ?Track?. Here, we?ll focus on the ?Place? segment.<\/p>\n

You’ll be presented with a number of options for creating your new place:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. You can create a place from your current location<\/strong> [view]<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. A known location<\/strong> [view]<\/a>, that Rego can find nearby.<\/li>\n
  3. You can search on a name or address<\/strong> [view]<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  4. You can manually picking a place on a map<\/strong> [view]<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  5. You can choose a contact from your address book<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
  6. You can choose one of your photos that has geo location information<\/strong> embedded. (Photos you take on your iPhone will have geo location embedded.)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In the process of adding a new place, you can specify lots of information about the place [view]<\/a>. In particular, you can:<\/p>\n

    1. Add a name<\/strong> (coordinates will be used if you don’t specify a name)<\/li>\n
    2. Choose a default thumbnail image<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Assign the place to one or more collections<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Manually override the address<\/strong>, in case the default calculation is wrong<\/li>\n
    5. Tweak the precise position<\/strong> of the pin<\/li>\n
    6. Assign the place?to a custom pin color<\/strong><\/li>\n
    7. Favorite it<\/strong> by “Starring”<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
